CPM Statistics

All CPMs current in the year 2000 were required to submit their statistics. These were published in the June 18, 2005 issue of the British Medication Journal by researchers Ken Johnson and Betty-Anne Daviss. Read the full study here.

All CPMs are encouraged to submit statistics on a voluntary basis. The MANA Statistics Project is now completely web-based.

The MANA Statistics Project collects data on birth and associated perinatal care and outcomes, focusing on out-of-hospital births attended by midwives. This data set is intended to support research on midwifery practice and normal birth with the goal of improving care of women and babies and increasing the choices available to childbearing families.
